Buying a Firearm Online

What do I need to do?

Once you finally find the perfect firearm, there's more to the process than just clicking "add to cart" and checking out. You will need to reach out to a local FFL (Federal Firearms Licensee) dealer to see if they perform transfers. If you are struggling to find an FFL near you, please feel free to reach out to our sales team for support! After you confirm that you can use that FFL for a transfer, please get a copy of their FFL or request the FFL you purchased your firearm from to request the copy of your local gun shop's FFL. Once they get the FFL, they can start the process to ship the firearm!

Finally, when the firearm reaches your transferring FFL, they will reach out to you once they are ready to perform your background check! Just because it says "delivered" on the tracking info doesn't mean they are ready to proceed with the transfer. If it's been a couple of days, you can always check in, but please be patient. When they alert you that they are ready to perform your background check, please bring a current driver's license or other state-issued ID applicable for firearms transfer to the FFL. To help speed up the process, please ensure your driver's license is current, not expired, suspended, or showing an old or incorrect address.

Now you have your new firearm! Pro tip: Before performing the background check, make sure the firearm has arrived and is in acceptable condition. Once it leaves the FFL, resolving any damage from shipping or manufacturing becomes a bit more difficult.
