What do I need in an Optic?

When choosing the perfect optic, three key features are most important: type, function, and price.

There are many different types of optic, including Low Power Variable Optics (LPVOs), red dots/holographic sights fixed magnification scopes (like ACOGs and other scopes), and iron sights. Some of these may seem similar, but are very different Each of these addresses the same question but provides the answer in different ways.

Function is another critical factor. This question can have many answers. You need to determine what your intentions for your setup. Are you looking for dedicated long-range shooting? Short-range?
